It's in your eyes: the beauty of images

Few things can express the way you see the world like - or even better than -  photography, and I don't think one needs to be extremely skilled to start having fun with it it. Sure enough, technical tips would help you transfering your ideas onto the camera and make sure you get what you originally had in mind, but in the end, all it takes - at least in its initial stages - is good imagination, a decent digital camera (or an analogic one, if that suits your mood better), good natural light and patience. Probably the only thing you can't do without is real creativity. Anyway you flip it, I am sure something interesting will eventually come out of it, after you've filled up your first 2GB memory card and burned out a couple of hundred batteries. As for myself, I have started taking interest in more "artsy" photographs around 2001, when I began working and living abroad. All the pictures in this website are taken from some of the places I have visited, while others simply portrait some of the people I have met (for long or short periods of time) around the world during the last 8 years or so, all of them with a strong focus on high contrasts, vivid primary colours & light effects.
